Ingredients :
For 6 cereal bars :
- 100 g whole almonds with skin
- 100 g oats
- 60 g acacia honey
- 30 g neutral oil or coconut oil
- 12 squares of dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa)
INSTRUCTIONS to realize cereal bars
- Crush almonds with a knife, leaving slightly larger pieces.
- In a saucepan, heat the honey with the oil for 3 minutes, remove from the heat and add the oats and crushed almonds. Mix carefully to obtain a sticky mixture.
- Fill 6 impressions of a financier mould (or 12 round, smaller impressions). Pack the preparation a maximum, it is important with the back of a spoon.
- In a 170° C preheated fan oven, place halfway up for 10-15 minutes to obtain a golden colour on the surface.
- Wait 5 minutes and carefully unmold the bars. If you have packed the mixture well, you will not encounter any problem.
- Place 2 squares of chocolate in each financial footprint (or 1 square per round footprint, smaller), put back 5 minutes in the hot oven off to melt. With a spoon, spread the chocolate, then replace the bars in the impression, pressing a little to coat the base of the cereal bar well, then place the mold in the fridge, until the chocolate freezes. Once the chocolate is frozen you can unmold the cereal bars and enjoy !
CONSERVATION : better to keep them in the fridge in an airtight glass box, so they remain crisp .
VARIATIONS : chocolate chips in the preparation instead of the chocolate base, hazelnuts instead of almonds, addition of 20g of dried fruit (but it will sweeten more!), chia seed (20g)…
